We begin by touring your home and listening to you, and paying close attention to the structure itself. We discuss your vision, the home's history, your budget, and what you want to preserve.

2 | Design and Planning

We develop detailed plans that respect the original design intent of your home while incorporating the updates you want. Material selections are made with your home's era and architectural style in mind 

3 | Construction and Completion

Our experienced team works carefully in and around your home's existing details. We keep you informed throughout construction and conclude with a thorough walk-through to ensure every detail meets your expectations.

Yes. This is one of our specialties. We work with specialty millwork suppliers and skilled craftspeople who can replicate historic profiles and details. In many cases, we can also carefully salvage and restore existing original elements rather than replacing them outright. 

Will remodeling my older home require bringing it up to current building codes?expand_more

In most cases, work we perform will need to meet current code requirements, but we handle all permitting and inspections on your behalf. We're experienced at modernizing older homes efficiently and can explain what's required and why before work begins. 

How do you handle unexpected discoveries like old wiring or unusual framing?expand_more

Older homes often hold surprises. We build reasonable contingencies into our planning process and communicate with you immediately if something unexpected arises. We don't proceed with hidden costs, but we will discuss options and get your approval before moving forward.
